In the first round of the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship, Alex Santiago scored a season-high 24 points to lead the College of the Ozarks to an 88-84 victory over No. 2 ranked College of Idaho. The Bobcats came out hot and took a 13-point lead into the locker room at half-time, 48-35. While the Bobcats held a 12-point lead with 13 minutes remaining in the game, a 4-point play for the Yotes, combined with a couple of Bobcat turnovers, brought TH Bobcat lead down to 3 with 9 1/2 minutes remaining. The Bobcats retained the lead by small margins throughout the remainder of the game, finding themselves down 3 with 14.8 seconds to play, and the Yotes having possession of the ball. Good "D" and a missed 3 by the Yotes secured the Bobcat victory.
