On Saturday evening, the College of the Ozarks’ Bobcats took their home court to face the Central Christian College Tigers of McPherson, Kansas. The Bobcats captured the victory, 89-78, to take their record to 18-6 on the season.
The Bobcats started off strong, taking a commanding lead, and headed into the locker room at the half with a 44-32 advantage thanks to 10 points by Ethan Murray and eight by Cameron Paschke.
With less than 10 minutes remaining in the second half, the crowd was ignited as Bobcat junior guard Cameron Paschke hit a three-pointer to collect his 1,000th career point. As the game progressed, the Tigers trimmed the Cats’ lead to 74-79 with 3:06 remaining. However, they could not close the final gap, and the Cats went on to pick up the win.
Cameron Paschke led all scorers with 22 points, going 9-for-14 from the field. He also dished 4 assists while snagging 5 steals. Senior Ethan Murray was close behind with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, and Joe Young and Kiefer Starbird contributed double-figures with 12 and 10 points respectively. Senior Skyler Frazier led the Cats in rebounds with 8.
The Bobcats will play again at home on Saturday, facing York College at 5 PM. College of the Ozarks will celebrate Senior Day, where four Bobcats will be recognized—Skyler Frazier, Ethan Murray, and Student Assistants Colton Hensley and Grant Williamson.
