The College of the Ozarks Bobcats posted a 71-64 victory over Northern New Mexico College on Saturday night in Espanola, New Mexico, to go 2-0 on the weekend.
Senior Bobcat Cameron Paschke and sophomore Heath Carmichael led the Cats' offense with 17 and 14 points respectively. Paschke went 6-12, including two three-pointers, while Carmichael hit four-of-six treys while also grabbing 5 rebounds and dishing 5 assists. Ethan Davidson and Kiefer Starbird both posted double figures, as Davidson scored 12 with 4 rebounds and Starbird tallied 11 points with a team-leading 6 rebounds.
Although the Cats were out-rebounded 39-26 and only went to the line 12 times compared to NNMC's 29, the Bobcats' 47.3% field goal percentage and 7 three-pointers were enough to capture their 16th win of the season.
