Nathane Simniok recently signed a letter of intent to finish his basketball playing career at College of the Ozarks.
Simniok, a graduate of Riverview Bible Baptist Christian School in Forsyth, has been in school the last three years at Missouri State-West Plains. He was a member of the Riverview program that competed and won championships in the National Christian Schools level and also competed in the Missouri State High School competition which included a second place finish in the Forsyth Tournament to Branson in 2008. Simniok missed a season due to a series of injuries while at MSU-West Plains.
This past season, Simniok averaged 9 points and seven rebounds per game for the Grizzlies. He shot 58 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range and 66 percent from the free throw line, and he was a first-team National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 16 Team honoree.
