The College of the Ozarks men had to make big plays when they needed them most and in doing so pulled out a tough, hard-fought road win defeating Lincoln Christian University, 75-67, on Tuesday night in Lincoln, Illinois.
Sophomore Ethan Davidson led the way for the Bobcats, as he finished with a team-high 18 points, hitting 6-of-8 from the field, 5-of-5 from the free throw line, and collecting 6 rebounds. Senior Cameron Paschke overcame a tough shooting night to finish with 17 points while also dishing out a team-high 3 assists. C of O, who won the rebounding battle over Lincoln (39-27), was led on the boards by senior Kiefer Starbird who finished with another double-double with 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Starbird also grabbed 2 steals and added 2 blocks to his season tally (33).
C of O led 29-24 at the break and went on to shoot 54% in the second half and hit 14-of-17 free throws to pull away in the end. LCU was led by sophomore Zach Thompson, who had a game-high 24 points.
The Bobcats improve their record to 19-7 on the season. They will play at Central Christian College on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
