Tuesday evening on Evangel's home court, the College of the Ozarks Bobcats defeated the Crusaders 86-75, while picking up their tenth consecutive win as well as the Rib Crib Highway 65 Traveling Trophy for 2015-2016.
The Bobcats started slow, giving the Crusaders an early lead, but College of the Ozarks went into halftime with a 7-point lead, 42-35, on Skyler Frazier and Cameron Paschke's double-digit scoring. Frazier posted 14 points and Paschke 13, while the Cats shot .545 overall and .500 from the 3-point line in the first half.
The second half was a bit more sporadic, as the lead changed hands 7 times, but the Bobcats came out on top to claim the win. Senior Bobcat Skyler Frazier was the leading scorer with 22 points and 8 rebounds (Evangel's Jalen Norman also posted 8 rebounds).
College of the Ozarks saw four players reach double figures in scoring: Frazier, Ethan Murray (21 pts, 4 assists), Cameron Paschke (18 pts., 6 assists, 4 steals), and Joe Young (14 pts., 7 reb., 6 assists).
Evangel University also had four players in double digits: Richard Chapman (21 pts.), Jalen Norman (14 pts., 3 steals), Marcus Miller (13 pts.), and Scott Blakeslee (10 pts.). In addition, Billy Thomnpson II posted 8 pts., 6 reb., and 3 steals.
Tuesday's win takes the Bobcats' record to 10-1 on the season. They will head to Oklahoma, along with the 9-1 Lady Bobcats, to play St. Gregory's University on Thursday evening.
