It was a tough Friday night at the K, as the #10 Bobcats fell at home in a surprise loss to Haskell Indian Nations University, 76-84.
Although struggling with shooting only 30% in the first half, the Bobcats managed to head into the locker room with a 36-33 advantage. As they returned to the court in the second half, the Cats continued to have difficulty getting the ball to remain in the basket. While many a shot rimmed out or just missed for the Cats, Haskell shot 66% from the field, and closed out the game with an 84-76 victory.
While the Bobcats had five players in double digits, Cameron Paschke was their high scorer with 16 points. Joe Young posted a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Indians were led by Randy July, who topped all scorers with 25 points.
The loss takes the Bobcats' record to 10-3 in conference, 21-6 overall, and places them in a tie for first place in the conference with Bellevue and Waldorf--both of whom won their games this evening. The Bobcats will take on Oklahoma Wesleyan on Saturday in their final regular-season matchup.
