The #25 ranked College of the Ozarks’ Bobcats posted an 86-76 victory over Southwestern College on the Bobcats’ home court.
The Moundbuilder’s entered Tuesday evening’s game with an 11-2 record, but found themselves trailing the Bobcats at the half 38-33 on strong performances by Alex Santiago (10 pts), Pete Leonard (8 points) and Joe Young (8 rebounds). While the lead changed 7 times in the first half, the Bobcats had a steady hold in the second half to close the game with a 10-point win.
Leonard and Santiago added to their first-half scoring, finishing with a team-leading 23 points for Leonard and 18 for Santiago. Joining them in double digits were Bobcats Paschke (10) and Daniels (10). Joe Young finished the evening with a double-double, garnering a total of 10 points and 15 rebounds. Southwestern’s scoring was led by Cameron Clark with 29 points.
The Bobcats will take their 9-3 record to the court this weekend in their McDonald’s CAM JAM Classic, where they will take on Indiana University East and Ecclesia College.
