The College of the Ozarks Bobcats surpassed the 100-point mark for the fourth time in five games on Tuesday night while defeating Central Baptist College of Arkansas by a score of 101-73.
The Bobcats entered Tuesday evening’s competition with a 1-1 conference and 13-4 overall record. The ‘Cats led by 20 points at the close of the first half (52-32) but saw their lead slip to 12 in the early part of the second half. It didn't’t take long, though, for the Bobcats to regain control and post another victory. Their win was a resounding team effort, as Ethan Murray (18 points), Derek Daniels (17), and Nathane Simniok (16) led the scoring. Trailing close behind were Alex Santiago (12), Austin Selby (12), Cameron Paschke (11), and Pete Leonard (10). Simniok posted a double-double, bringing down 11 rebounds in addition to his 16 points. Ethan Murray went a solid 4-4 from the three-point line in tonight’s effort.
The Bobcats, currently ranked #16 in NAIA Division II, will head out of town this weekend for match ups against some strong conference competition—Waldorf College (3-0) and Bellevue University (2-1).
