The Bobcat basketball team traveled to Batesville, Arkansas, on Friday evening to compete against Lyon College.
It was a close matchup throughout most of the game, with ten ties, and neither team holding more than a 7 point lead at any point. Stats were relatively even, with College of the Ozarks holding a distinct advantage only in rebounds (37-24).
Senior guard Ethan Murray was the Bobcats’ scoring leader with 20, but juniors Kiefer Starbird (18 pts., 7 reb.), Joe Young (16 pts.,10 reb), and Cameron Paschke (10 pts., 4 assists, 2 steals) contributed significantly to the win. In addition, senior Skyler Frazier gathered 7 rebounds for the Cats.
Lyon was led by Joe Burt with 24 points and 8 rebounds.
The Bobcats, with a record of 3-1, will return home for two games next week—Tuesday at 7 PM vs. John Brown University, and Friday, Nov. 20th, 7 PM, against Huntington University.
