College of the Ozarks used a 28-2 run to complete an incredible comeback as they defeated Rochester College by the score of 74-70 on Saturday afternoon on day two of the A.I.I. Classic in Gary, Indiana.
Rochester (20-4) held a 49-29 lead over the Bobcats with 16:44 remaining in the game, but C of O would go on to outscore the Warriors 45-21 to claim the win.
Bobcat seniors Ethan Murray and Skyler Frazier teamed up to lead the Bobcats scoring 24 and 18, respectively. Murray nailed 5 three-pointers in the game. Junior Joe Young scored 10 points and just missed another double-double grabbing 9 rebounds. Junior Kiefer Starbird finished with a team-high 10 rebounds, while teammate Cameron Paschke dished out a game-high 7 assists. C of O, who trailed at halftime (40-29) out-rebounded the Warriors, 44-36.
The victory improves the Bobcats' record to 16-5 on the season. The Cats will continue play on the road this coming week as they head north to take on Central Christian and York.
