This weekend, the Bobcats took their 6-1 record to the Oklahoma Wesleyan Classic in Bartlesville, OK. On Friday, the Bobcats' faced a strong St. Gregory's University team, who plays in the NAIA Division 1 Sooner Athletic Conference. St. Gregory's closed out the first half on a 19-3 run and it proved to be too much for C of O to overcome as the Bobcats fell 88-78 in the opening night of the Oklahoma Wesleyan Classic in Bartlesville. The Bobcats were led by senior Nathane Simniok who finished with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Sophomore Ethan Murray and freshman Cameron Paschke both scored 12 and junior Pete Leonard added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
Saturday, however, was a different story, as the men returned to their winning ways by defeating Bacone College, 94-78. The Bobcats led 48-39 at halftime and never trailed in the contest. Senior Nathane Simniok led all scorers with a game-high 31 points and finished with 9 rebounds. Junior Derek Daniels hit five three-pointers in scoring 19 points. The Bobcats also received 15 points from freshman point guard Cameron Paschke and a double-double from junior Pete Leonard who finished the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds. C of O out-rebounded Bacone 50-24 with the Bobcats finishing with 16 offensive rebounds.
The Bobcats improved their record to 7-2 on the season and will resume game action on Monday, December 2nd when they travel to Leavenworth, KS to face the University of St. Mary.
