The C of O men's basketball could not overcome a deep first-half deficit,trailing by as many as 20 points, and fell to Central Christian College by the score of 81-58 on Saturday night in McPherson, KS.
The Bobcats fought back cutting it to 38-24 as the teams went into the locker room at halftime. C of O pared the lead to 10 (61-51) with 6:00 minutes left in the game, but the host Tigers, who out rebounded C of O 45-38, used a big run to finish out the contest.
Senior Cameron Paschke led all scorers finishing with a game-high 23 points and a team-high 3 steals. Senior Kiefer Starbird just missed a double-double scoring 11 points and collecting 9 rebounds. Sophomores Ethan Davidson and Heath Carmichael finished as team leaders on the night with Davidson grabbing 10 rebounds and Carmichael dishing out 4 assists. CCC, who had 5 players finish in double-figures, was led by senior Ernest Burton who hit 4 treys in scoring 18 points.
The Bobcats' record now stands at 19-8 on the season entering Tuesday night's regular season finale at Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould, AR.
