The College of the Ozarks Bobcats had a rocky start to their conference season, falling at home to Oklahoma Wesleyan University by a score of 78-80. The Bobcats fell behind by 14 points in the first half, while the Eagles drained eight three-pointers. Despite shooting 33% in the first half, College of Ozarks managed to trail by only 6 points at the break. During the second half, College of the Ozarks lagged behind until Nathane Simniok scored a field goal at 13:22 to tie the game. Despite some valiant efforts at the close of the game, the Bobcats were unable to pull out a victory. Bobcats’ Freshman Cameron Paschke and Junior Alex Santiago led the ‘Cats with 18 points apiece. Oklahoma Wesleyan’s leading scorers were Devin Harris with 29 points, including 11 of 12 free throws, and Tyler Woods who posted four “threes” and a total of 19 points. The Bobcats’ record now stands at 12-4.
