The College of the Ozarks Bobcats hosted the Warriors of Waldorf College on Saturday and improved their record to 14-5 with a 74-64 victory.
The Bobcats led by 10 at the half (27-17) on 12 points from senior Derek Daniels. The second half found Daniels continuing with a hot hand, as he finished the game with another double double, scoring 29 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Daniels was supported by Alex Santiago (14 pts.) and Ethan Murray (11 pts.). While the Bobcats went 2-12 from the 3-point line in the first half, they hit an impressive 8-10 threes in the second half. Leading the Warriors were Jordan Nelson with 25 points and 6 rebounds, followed by Trey Scott (13 pts., 5 reb.) and Erik Brewer (11 pts.)
The Bobcats’ record now stands at 14-5, 3-2 in the MCAC. They will host York & Central Christian Colleges next weekend as they continue conference play.
