Volleyball Accolades Continue to Roll In

Congratulstions to the following members of the Lady Bobcat volleyball team, who have been recognized for their accomplishments on the court:

  • The NCCAA named Haley Stallings and Logan Allen as First Team All-Americans.
  • Haley Stallings and Rielly Dobbs were named to the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Honorable Mention All-America team and the Association of Volleyball Coaches of America (AVCA)-NAIA Honorable Mention All-America team.
  • The AVCA North Central Region All America Team featured Dobbs and Stallings on the First Team and Brandy Glessner received Honorable Mention.

Also of significant note, several Lady Bobcat volleyball players have been recognized for their performance in the classroom.  Chloe’ Shepherd, Danielle Curnes, Brandy Glessner and Sarah Kreul were recently named NCCAA Scholar Athletes.  In order to be nominated for the NCCAA scholar athlete award, a student athlete must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.4 and have achieved a junior academic status.

“We are very proud of our student athletes,” stated Athletic Director Steve Shepherd.  “They make a significant commitment when they become a member of a Bobcat or Lady Bobcat team, as expectations are high in their work stations, in the classroom, and on and off the court or field of play.  These awards highlight the quality students of character we recruit and further develop—those who strive to excel in all aspects of their college experience."
