On Tuesday evening, the College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats put up a good fight but fell to NAIA #2 Missouri Baptist University, 3-1 (10-25, 21-25, 25-21, 16-25).
In a match which featured over 100 kills between the two teams, the Lady Bobcat stat leaders featured: Jamie Reaves, Logan Allen & Hannah Bracker with 9 kills apiece, Ashlynn Rogers acing 2 serves, Reaves and Lindsay Boone each providing 4 blocks, Boone dishing up 22 assists, and Brandi Stahl capturing 22 digs.
The MBU Spartans were led by Mallory Dillon (19 kills), Hannah Carey (3 aces), Logan Mennemeyer (4 blocks), Ally Krus (52 assists), and Haley Pouliezos (39 kills).
The loss takes the Lady Bobcats’ season record to 15-14, while Missouri Baptist stands at 27-3. The Lady Bobcats will head out of town to play Williams Baptist on Friday evening. They will return to the Keeter Gymnasium at College of the Ozarks next week to close out their regular season with four home matches, again facing some tough competition including #13 Evangel University and #25 Grand View.
