The College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats were at home Friday evening for conference play against Haskell Indian Nations University, and both teams kept fans on the edge of their seats. College of the Ozarks came out the victor in 5 sets (20-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-17, 17-15).
Leading the Bobcats were Jamie Reaves (17 kills and 6 blocks), Hannah Bracker (2 service aces), Lindsay Boone (29 assists), and Brandi Stahl (30 digs). The Indians were led by Aspen Shepherd (19 kills, 3 blocks), Nicole Curley and Raquel Aguino (2 aces apiece), Lisa Atcitty (49 assists), and Skye Norwood (33 digs). Bobcats’ Jamie Reaves currently leads the Midlands Conference with .9 blocks per set.
The Lady Bobcats’ victory brings their record to 2-0 in the MCAC and 7-12 overall. Haskell is 8-11 overall, 0-2 in conference play. College of the Ozarks will be home next weekend for two games as they continue their conference battle facing Waldorf College (0-1, 5-15) and College of St. Mary (0-0, 13-3).
