College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats, despite some great plays on the court, were unable to defeat Drury University on Tuesday evening, as the Drury Panthers won in three sets (21-25, 18-25, and 16-25).
The match included numerous lengthy volleys and several impressive kills by both teams. College of the Ozarks was led by Jenny Wuerffel (12 kills), Sarah Kreul (14 assists and 11 digs), and Brandi Stahl (also with 11 digs). Drury stat leaders included: Sara Borneman with 12 kills, BJ Specht and Chloe Foster with 3 blocks, three players with 12 digs (Brooke Antenen, BJ Specht, and Bridgett Justis), and 5’-11 Sophomore Brooke Antenen with an impressive 40 assists.
The loss brings the College of the Ozarks’ record to 3-6, while Drury University improves to 5-0. The Lady Bobcats will travel south this weekend to participate in a Tri-Match at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
