The College of the Ozarks women’s volleyball team fell 0-3 in Day 2 the 2016 NAIA Volleyball National Championship in Sioux City, Iowa, against the #15 Doane University Tigers of Nebraska, 15-25, 19-25, 17-25.
The Tigers’ offense tallied 45 kills and posted 11 errors accumulating a .318 attacking percentage, and their defense blocked 17 shots. The Lady Bobcats could not seem to get their game on track, as their offense provided 33 kills but also committed 24 errors (.086 attacking percentage). On the defensive side, College of the Ozarks managed only two blocks.
The Lady Bobcats were led by Alex Spears with 7 kills, Haley Stallings with 16 digs, and Rielly Dobbs with 15 assists.
College of the Ozarks (0-2) will play their final game of pool play on Friday against #18 Carroll College of Montana (0-2) with the hope of picking up their 30th win on the season. The Lady Bobcats’ record presently stands at 29-15.
