On Thursday evening, November 12th, the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) announced the recipients of conference awards for the 2015 volleyball season, and the College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats were well represented.
The A.I.I. Libero of the Year award was presented to junior Brandi Stahl, who garnered a team-high 690 digs over the regular season, averaging 5.4 per set. First-team All-Conference winners for the Lady Bobcats included Stahl and senior middle hitter Jamie Reaves. Reaves led the conference and ranked #8 in NAIA in total blocks with 154 (1.2 per set) and also contributed 317 kills. Sophomore outside hitter Danielle Curnes and senior setter Lindsay Boone were named Second-team All-Conference recipients. Curnes posted a team-leading 328 kills this season, alongside 31 aces, 39 blocks, and 472 digs, while Boone delivered 74 blocks and a team-high 674 assists. Junior setter Sarah Kreul was named Honorable Mention, tallying 544 assists and 39 service aces.
The Lady Bobcats finished the regular season 17-17, having faced numerous teams that ranked in the Top 25 this season. College of the Ozarks is playing in the conference tournament this weekend at Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa.
