On Tuesday, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2015 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All-America Teams, as chosen by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.
College of the Ozarks’ senior middle hitter Jamie Reaves of Cabool, Missouri, was named honorable mention All-American. Reaves closed out her collegiate career with 1,292 kills, 135 solo blocks, 360 block assists, and 495 total blocks. Her senior season found her contributing 339 kills on the front line and leading the Lady Bobcats in blocks with 162, placing her 13th in the nation in total blocks. Her excellence was found not only on the court but in academics as well. Reaves, an elementary education major, was recently named as an NAIA Academic All-American.
Head volleyball coach Stacy Edwards commented, “Jamie is very deserving of this honor. Her hard work and talent have served her team well this season. Jamie’s teammates also receive a great deal of credit for their contributions, which placed her in position to achieve this award.”
