Bellevue University has been picked as the favorite to win the 2013 MCAC Women’s Volleyball Championship according to the MCAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll released Monday, Aug. 12. The Bruins posted a 36-11 overall record in 2012, including a 13-0 league mark en route to capturing the MCAC Tournament Title. Bellevue advanced to the NAIA National Tournament in 2012 for the sixth-straight season.
College of the Ozarks, which posted a 12-1 MCAC record last season, compiled a 19-15 overall record in 2012 to earn the No. 2 position in the 2013 preseason league rankings. Waldorf College placed third in the conference coaches’ poll. The Warriors recorded a 23-20 overall (10-3 MCAC) record a year ago. Rounding out the preseason poll are College of Saint Mary (4th), Oklahoma Wesleyan University (5th), Haskell Indian Nations University (6th), York College (7th), Central Baptist College (8th) and Central Christian (9th).
