Marion Named NAIA Scholar Athlete

Tyler Marion This week the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that 354 baseball student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Congratulations go out to College of the Ozarks’ senior catcher Tyler Marion of Neosho, Missouri, who was named as one of the nationwide recipients.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. This is a significant accomplishment for College of the Ozarks' students, who are expected to succeed at a 15-hour per week on-campus work assignment in addition to balancing practice, travel, games, class attendance, and out-of-class assignments.
