Bobcats Qualify for A.I.I. Conference Tournament

FBaseballrom A.I.I Commissioner, Ted Breidenthal:

Seven schools were selected Monday to participate in the 2016 A.I.I. Baseball Championship Tournament that will be held May 7-10 at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  The seven teams and their record/winning percentage are as follows:

Georgia Gwinnett, 43-4 (.915)
Texas A&M-Texarkana, 25-16 (.610)
Mount Mercy, 26-11 (.703)
Clarke, 28-12 (.700)
College of the Ozarks, 27-22 (.551)  
Edward Waters, 25-11 (.694)
Talladega College, 16-22  (.421)

The Baseball Ratings Oversight Committee agreed that the final team selected will be either Fisher College (MA) or Rochester College (MI).  The committee will make the final selection next Monday, April 25.

Eight teams will participate in the double-elimination qualifying tournament.  The champion, runner up and third-place teams will receive Direct Qualifying berths to the NAIA Baseball Championship Tournament.
