College of the Ozarks Head Baseball Coach Neale Richardson is pleased to announce the signing Steven Simmons for the 2019-2020 season.

Simmons comes to the Bobcats from Van Buren High School (Mo.).  He is a 5’11 shortstop and outfielder, who batted over .500 this fall season.   He is a two time All-Conference and All-District player, who helped the Bulldogs win a District Championship during his sophomore spring season. Simmons played for the Poplar Bluff Vipers last summer, hitting over .400 and pitching very well.

Overcoming personal challenges, Simmons does not let anything get in his way. He is an excellent student in the classroom with a 3.5+ grade point average, Student Council President, a member of FBLA, and a great idol for the young kids he tutors each day.

His hobbies include: making music, hunting, fishing, spending time with friends and family.
