Six Bobcats Score in Double Figures to Defeat JBU

College of the Ozarks Bobcats boosted their season record to 6-3 Monday evening, as they defeated the John Brown University Golden Eagles by a score of 104-85.

The first half finished with the Bobcats in command, leading 55-35. The Cats shot 70% from the field, going 20-of-29 from the field. The Cats also shot 66% from the 3-point line, going 6-9, and were a perfect 9-9 from the free-throw line. The Bobcats played stellar defense, holding the Golden Eagles to 2-of-12 from the 3-point line.

The Bobcats finished strong with six players racking up double digits. Brandt Cochran led the Bobcat scoring at the close of the game with 25 points. Close behind was Heath Carmichael and Ethan Davidson at 19 points apiece. Carmichael made 7 out of his 11 attempted field goals, including five treys, while Davidson dished out 7 assists. All three players completed the victory with 5 rebounds apiece. Rounding out the scoring for the Bobcats was Treydon Rackley (17), Klay Barton (14), and Storm Price (10). 

The Bobcats will head back on the road this weekend to play against Fisk University at 7 p.m. on Friday and Welch College at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Cats return home on Tuesday, December 4th to compete in the Rib Crib Highway 65 Rivalry against the Evangel University Crusaders at 7 p.m.
