Scaggs and Davis Lead Bobcat Runners

The men’s track and field team made a trip to Pittsburg State on Saturday. In this meet the Bobcats faced off against 12 other colleges: Missouri Southern, Pittsburg State, Central Methodist University, Hutchison C.C., Washburn, Coffeyville, Missouri Valley, Bacone, Allen County C.C., Oral Roberts, Southwestern (KS), and Southwest Baptist University. Leading the way, sophomore Sam Scaggs placed 19th out of 47 runners in the men’s 800 meter with a time of 2:03.65, and senior Dameon Davis placed 13th out of 28 runners in the men’s 1500 meters with a time of 4:18.98.

  • 800 Meters-Sam Scaggs, 19th place (2:03.65); Michael Vogt, 39th place (2:15.21); Reily Kuechler,44th place (2:30.87)

  • 1500 Meters- Dameon Davis,13th place (4:18.98); Loyal Carpenter,23rd place (4:34.52)

  • High Jump-Kyle Kapella, 7th place (1.90m)

  • Long Jump-Ryan Vance, 22nd place (6.08m); Teddy Lingner, 27th place (5.58m); Jacob Russell, 28th place (5.25m)

  • Triple Jump--Teddy Lingner, 10th place (12.53m); Jacob Russell, 11th place (11.53m)

  • Javelin - John Gardner, 17th place (38.65m); Keaghan Patrick, 18th place (38.37m)

The men will travel to Missouri S&T in Rolla on April 22nd to compete in the Dewey Allgood Invitational.
