Ethan Davidson Named NAIA Second Team All-American

Conratulations go out to senior foward Ethan Davidson, who was named on Thursday by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to the 2019 Division II Men’s Basketball All-American team.

Ethan Davidson was named Second Team All-American, making his first appearance on the NAIA All-American chart.

Davidson is a 6’5 forward, who hails from Hollister High School (Mo.).  He has been a four-year member and three-year starter for the Bobcats.

Ethan has steadily increased his scoring production for the Cats each year and holds an exceptional 53.7 field goal percentage for his career. 

During the 2018-19 season, Ethan has been a scoring machine for the Cats, posting 815 of his career 1,849 points, which included 51 three-pointers, more than his first three seasons combined.  He has led his team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks each of the last two seasons, averaging 25.47 points per game in 2018-19 and 14.86 points per game in 2017-18. 

For his career, Davidson has pulled down 799 rebounds, handed out 191 assists, and provided 63 blocks. 

Ethan closed out this season ranked NAIA DII No. 6 in points per game (25.469) and total scoring (815), as well as No. 9 in three-point field goal percentage (47.7%).

Davidson was also named this week as an NAIA and NCCAA Scholar Athlete, performing at high levels not only on the court, but also in the classroom.

This is the first time since 2012-2013 the Bobcats have received Second Team All-American Recognition.  Mike Wiebe was the last receipient for the Bobcats,
