College of the Ozarks men's track and field team competed on Friday in Joplin, Mo. at the MSSU Williams/Laptad Invitational. The meet featured athletes from 17 plus colleges and universities, including Dallas Baptist, Pitt State, UCM and Missouri S&T.
Bobcat Kyle Kapella collected a third place finish for his high jump of 1.98m (6'6")! Another highlight on the day featured Sam Scaggs, who took 15th place (of 32 runners) in the men's 800 meters with a time of 2:00.17. In addition, the men's 4x400 relay of Lansing Brown, Kyle Kapella, Javaris Perry, and Sam Scaggs placed 5th with a time of 3:31.11.
