Stanphill Named NCCAA Scholar Athlete

College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcat Ashley Stanphill, a member of the women’s golf team, was recently named as a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.

The 2018 award was presented to 22 student-athletes who demonstrated success on the golf course and in the classroom. Athletes must maintain a 3.4 cumulative GPA or greater on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for this award.

Stanphill, a Wichita, Kansas native, is a sophomore at College of the Ozarks. She is an Allied Health Science-Interdisciplinary major and is also working on a minor in Psychology.

In addition to the demands of being a college student-athlete, C of O students must attend classes and also work 15 hours per week at their on-campus work station.

Being recognized for this award indicates the hard work and dedication Ashley has invested in her studies and her sport.
