CofO women closed out the regular season with a 108-45 victory at Crowley's Ridge College.
The Lady Cats jumped out to a 28-11 first quarter lead and never looked back. CofO held a 54-24 halftime advantage. They shot 49% from the field and 47% from three, while Crowley's Ridge shot 35% and 9% respectively. CofO forced fourteen first half turnovers and had just four of their own.
The Lady Cats stretched their lead to 81-38 after three quarters and a final of 108-45. CofO shot 51% from the field for the game, 57% from the three-point line, and 77% from the free throw line. The Lady Pioneers shot 33% from the field, 13% from the three-point line, and were perfect from the free throw line for the game. CofO held a 47-23 rebounding advantage, had 32 assists on 41 made shots, and committed just ten turnovers.
All CofO players scored in the contest, led by Cass Johnson with 20 points. Kelsie Cleeton contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists. Ashley Forrest was perfect from the three point line (3-3), finishing with 13. Lakin Simmerman finished with 11. Kyra Hardesty had three steals to lead CofO.
CofO is off before heading to Indiana University Northwest next weekend for the A.I.I. Conference Tournament. The Lady Cats have a first round bye and will face the winner of IUNW and Washington Adventist at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
