College of the Ozarks will be hosting the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Region Baseball Tournament on Wednesday through Friday of this week (May 9-11). All games will be played at Coach Bob Smith Field on the campus of College of the Ozarks.
Six teams will participate in the tournament in addition to the No. 4 seeded College of the Ozarks Bobcats. The No. 1 seed is Colorado Christian University, No. 2-Southwestern Christian College (Okla.), No. 3 - Central Baptist College (Ark.), No. 5 – Arlington Baptist (Texas), No. 6 – Ecclesia College (Ark.), and No. 7-Dallas Christian (Texas).
The tournament will be double elimination, with the Championship game tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon.
The Bobcats will open up the tournament with their game against Arlington Baptist University at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Games will follow at 11:30 a.m., and 2:00, 4:30, and 7:00 p.m. Thursday’s schedule features games at 10:00 a.m. as well as 12:30, 3:00, and 5:30 p.m. Friday is scheduled to begin with loser’s bracket games at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. game between the remaining two teams.
Admission is $5 for the full day for anyone above age 12. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
