Ethan Davidson - NCCAA First Team All-American and NCCAA Scholar Athlete
Heath Carmichael - NCCAA Scholar Athlete
Benjamin Cody - NCCAA Scholar Athlete
This week the National Christian College Athletic Association released the honorees selected as NCCAA All-Americans and NCCAA Scholar Athletes.
Congratulations goes out to three Bobcat players receiving recognition:
Ethan Davidson – NCCAA First Team All-American & NCCAA Scholar Athlete
Heath Carmichael – NCCAA Scholar Athlete
Benjamin Cody – NCCAA Scholar Athlete
All-American: Davidson, who was recognized by the NAIA late last week, has added another All-American accolade to his collection. Ethan has led his team in scoring, rebounds and blocks the past two seasons. This season he recorded a spectacular average of 25.47 points per game. For his career, he has tallied 1,849 points and pulled down 799 rebounds; he has also posted an exceptional 53.7 field goal percentage. Davidson is the first Bobcat to receive All-American honors since College of the Ozarks joined the NCCAA.
Scholar Athlete: In order to be nominated for NCCAA Scholar Athlete status, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale and have achieved junior academic status. All three student athletes are receiving the award for the second time. This is no small accomplishment for student-athletes at College of the Ozarks. These seniors excel at balancing the rigors of their studies with the multiple obligations of their sports (practice, travel, and game performance), while also performing to the best of their abilities in a 15-hour per week on-campus work assignment.
Congratulations, Ethan, Heath, and Ben!
